Oh…what a fun day we had! Recently we had the pleasure of cooking with Syrian talk cook show host Malakeh Jazmaty and lovely Madlin from Damascus. It was a great opportunity to learn about Syrian food and in particular, food from their hometown. We tried two dishes: Mehashi (zucchini filled with meat, rice and spices) and Uzi (pastry filled with lamb meat, rice, peas and spices topped with fried nuts and a dollop of ghee).

We had a lively meal, fun conversations and learned a few things about Syrian cuisine. It blew our minds to discover that there are actually 16 types of Kibbeh. We can’t wait to develop a popup restaurant specialized in Kibbeh!!
